Dr. Gold grew up in New York, where he attended the Bronx High School of Science, CCNY and graduated NYU School of Medicine. In 1994 he moved to Beverly Hills with his wife Michele and their daughter Rebecca, who graduated from the Beverly Hills public schools. An active supporter of local youth sports, Dr. Gold was a board member of Beverly Hills Little League and coached both Little League Baseball and AYSO Soccer. Having graduated Team Beverly Hills in 2002, he was appointed to the Traffic and Parking Commission where he served six years including one as the chairperson. Dr. Gold was subsequently appointed to the Recreation and Parks Commission where he served until elected to the City Council where he has been an ardent advocate for the health and safety of this community. Beyond the city council, he is involved in many local organizations and was recently inducted into Beverly Hills Rotary.
